Since August 2018, I am a postdoctoral researcher at Brown University in the USA. I work with Prof. Kenny Breuer on the fluid mechanics of membranous structures.
I graduated with a PhD (2017) from the University of Twente, the Netherlands, under the advise of Prof. Detlef Lohse and Prof. Chao Sun, following which I continued for a short postdoc in the same group. My doctoral research was on the dynamics of buoyant particles and air bubbles in turbulent flows. Prior to my PhD, I worked for about 1.5 years at General Electric Co. (GE) , where I was involved in the modeling of fuel sprays in aircraft engine combustion. I have interests in a broad range of topics in multiphase and particle-laden turbulence, free-surface and physiological flows, and thermal convection.
